Alloy C276 tube is a nickel-based superalloy renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance in extreme environments. Its chemical composition includes nickel (∼57%) as the primary element, providing a stable matrix, along with molybdenum (15–17%) and chromium (14.5–16.5%) to resist pitting, crevice corrosion, and oxidizing agents. The addition of tungsten (3–4.5%) enhances strength in reducing conditions, while iron (4–7%) balances structural integrity. A low carbon content (≤0.02%) minimizes carbide formation during welding, preserving corrosion resistance. Trace elements like cobalt (≤2.5%) and controlled levels of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur further optimize performance.
