Alloy 800, 800H, 800HT tube is a nickel-based alloy designed for corrosion environments. The base elements in three alloys are the same, only carbon, aluminum and titanium differ slightly. Due to the content of nickel, thes alloy resists stress corrosion cracking, and maintains a ductile, austenitic structure. The chromium in the alloy imparts both aqueous and heat resistance. Iron provides resistance to internal oxidation.

Incoloy alloy 800, 800H, and 800HT tube is designed for high-temperature applications, with each variant offering distinct mechanical properties to meet specific industrial needs. Nickel alloy 800 is designed to excel in general high-temperature settings, typically up to around 1100°F (593°C). 800H material is a modification of incoloy 800 with controlled carbon content (0.05-0.10%), which enhances its high-temperature performance, improved creep and stress rupture properties, making it suitable for higher temperatures above 1100°F (593°C). Alloy 800HT represents a further refinement in this series with higher carbon, aluminum and titanium, offers the highest creep rupture strength among the three, making it particularly well-suited for static applications where sustained exposure to elevated temperatures is a concern.
